Domaine Les Valdons’ Petit Marché de Noël Authentique

The Wine Snoop Report

If you will be anywhere near Cucuron on December 19th, visit Domaine Les Valdons for their Petit Marché de Noël Authentique.  Proprietors Maryline and Louis-Michel Bremond invite all to enjoy a collection of local produce including foie gras, custom-order Christmas poultry, white pudding, fruits and vegetables, chocolate, honey, nougat and, of course, wine and even champagne. Visitors can browse and buy these delicious items to enjoy during holidays at home.

A highlight of the day will be the presentation of Domaine Les Valdons’ new wines. This Luberon AOP domaine makes red, white, and rosé wines. The “Melchiorre,” a Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah blend, is the signature wine of the domaine and the winemaker. Domaine Les Valdons’ wines are biologique (organic). The goal of the winemaker is to create wines that harmonize with the natural setting of the region.

If unable to attend the market, wine will be available to order at special prices (contact domaine for details). The wine will be accompanied by traditional Christmas dishes and the 13 Provençal desserts.

A very cool part of the day for families will be special-guest children’s book author Calouan,  who will conduct a children’s book animation workshop and sign copies of his work for the children at the market.

The market will take place on 19 December from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Calouan will be there from 2:00 pm and musical entertainment will begin at 3:00 pm. All events are on site at Domaine Les Valdons.

As Jerry Clark, PWZ contributor said, “Oh, to be in Cucuron on December 19th!” adding “Michel Brémond makes such enjoyable wines, especially his top reds.”
