Notes
The sweet fragrant nose (not particularly inviting to me) transitioned, rather surprisingly, into a palate dominated by lovely pink grapefruit with notes of lime and kiwi and a particularly nice underlying minerality. It is a very refreshing–great acidity– rosé but perhaps lacking the finesse expected of a wine at this price point. The wine is well-balanced but I suspect that all elements will integrate more fully as time passes.
The blend is Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon is fermented in 500-liter Burgundian oak barrels to add complexity. The Grenache is fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness.
