A very lovely Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Famille Quiot. The 2010 is very elegant, well-structured, perfectly balanced and simply delicious. Color is mostly garnet. Nose reveals some earthiness and dark red fruits. Medium body. Palate has notes of ripe red fruit–raspberries–with silky tannins. The alcohol is high at 14.5% but one would never know it! Very well integrated. The 2010 could sit for a few more years but is drinking well now. This earns a spot on our “favorites” list!
