Red fruits on the nose, medium body, big mouthful of tannin, dried red fruits on the palate with leather, tobacco, with pepper on the finish. This wine needs time to open up! It took 2 hours for it to come into its own–unfortunately after half the bottle was already gone! After a couple of hours, the tannins softened, the fruit emerged, and it showed to a very nicely balanced wine.
